Justice Paul Gadenya involved in perilous car crash


Masindi Resident Judge Justice Paul Wolimbwa Gadenya has been involved in a fatal car crash in Bigando- Masindi as he traveled to the Masindi High Court on Monday morning, according to reports.

The learned Judge Paul Gadenya was traveling in his official car registration number UG 0781 J along with his driver and body guard who have sustained injuries. The Judiciary, according to the reports, says the Judge is in ” bad shape.”

In a press statement, the Judiciary attributed the cause of the accident to reckless driving on the part of a truck ( registration number UBH 831) driver who reportedly joined the road carelessly ramming into the Judge’s car.

Justice Gadenya and his team, who had been admitted at Kitara Medical Centre in Masindi according to the Judiciary’s Chief Registrar, Sarah Langa Siu, have been medivacked to Kampala via a UPDF chopper in order for the trio to receive “specialised medical attention.”

” Joint emergency services coordinated by the Judiciary, Uganda Police and the UPDF evacuated the Judge and his team from the accident scene” said Mr Pius Bigirimana, the Permanent Secretary to the Judiciary.
